We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist In this role, you will:The candidate will be part of strategic initiative IT team which is responsible for design, develop and maintain.Develop competent level understanding of HTS platform, to able to understand the business needs and help developer to convert into HTS platform design and languageEnsure implementation on time and in budget with appropriate quality according to user requirements Assist in coordinating the activities of IT project teams, user departments and other service departments.Provide estimates for development effort for individual or component from design documents Review code and documentation to ensure code meets the design criteria Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems with the objective of optimizing operational performance and improving quality whilst increasing cost effectivenessLead FSR development to provide tech solution design and review with developer to make the quality of the FSR deliveryWe are seeking a senior java developer with a strong background in the commercial trades domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Marginal Deposit, Settlement modules and hands-on experience with Java and proven track record in overseeing banking trade transformation projects.Experience with build and development tools such as, Eclipse, GIT, JIRA, Intellij, Maven, Ansible, JenkinsSuccessful track record of system implementation and support.Experience working in a global, matrix environment with remote teams and customersHighly literate and articulate, with the ability to distil complex business concepts into simple languageHaving innovative mindset. self-starter, with a desire to own a problem until successful solution is foundStrong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.Flexible and pragmatic attitude to problem solvingFocused on working with colleagues to deliver effective, business-focused solutions.Perform system analysis, design, coding and testing and according to the Bank's development standard and meeting quality requirements.To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software industry with a focus on Java development.Good understanding of DevOps and agile methodology Strong knowledge and experience in Core Java (Java 8, Java 17), Collections, Multithreading, Spring, Spring Boot 3.0.x, Microservices.Database technologies like ORACLE.Strong leadership and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.You'll achieve more when you join HSBC.HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
