Job OverviewThe primary role of the Senior Data Scientist is to provide strategic data-driven insights, driving business growth through informed decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines using PySpark and Databricks, ensuring efficient data analysis and model evaluation.Establish and implement regression modelling techniques, statistical analysis, and model performance metrics to optimize business outcomes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SQL systems and structured/unstructured data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow.Utilize Excel for quick analytical checks and PowerPoint for developing clear, executive-friendly insights and presentations.Drive exceptional problem-solving skills to translate data into actionable business strategies, fostering a culture of data-driven innovation.Beneficial Skills:Experience in pricing analytics or revenue management models (elasticity, discount simulations, price optimization) will be highly valued.Fluency in retail domain terminologies and an understanding of business KPIs will enhance the ability to drive strategic decisions.Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau will aid in presenting complex data insights effectively.Experience with Azure Databricks workflows or CI/CD-based deployment frameworks will enable seamless integration of data science capabilities.Personal Qualities:Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, capable of simplifying complex analytics for non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members, review deliverables, and guide technical and analytical workstreams.Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cross-functionally across data, product, and business teams.
