Job Summary: We are seeking an accomplished and strategic individual to join us as the Director of Procurement. The ideal candidate will lead our procurement operations, manage relationships with partner factories, and ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality products for our platform. The Director of Procurement will be key in driving procurement strategy, optimizing supplier performance, and contributing significantly to the growth of factori.com.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a robust, reliable, and diverse supply chain.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner factories and suppliers to ensure consistent quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best deals while fostering long-term supplier partnerships.

Inventory and Cost Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize costs, and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure all procured products meet factori.com's quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures to maintain consistency, quality, and transparency.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor procurement KPIs, forecast demand, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, offering data-backed insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and logistics teams to align procurement strategies with market demand and sales forecasts.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and manage the performance of the procurement team.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM) is preferable.
  • Proven experience in procurement leadership roles, preferably within a B2B or manufacturing-related industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools, ERP systems, and supply chain management best practices.
