Position- Project Coordinator

Duration/Type of employment- Project based contract for three months (which may be extended at the discretion of Safetipin).

Location – Lucknow with travel within and around the city and to the Safetipin head office in Gurgaon.


About Safetipin:

Safetipin (www.safetipin.com) is a social impact organization working towards Building responsive, Inclusive, Safe and Equitable Urban Systems. We collaborate with government and non- government stakeholders in using big data to improve infrastructure and services in cities. We are a small multi-disciplinary group of social scientists, architects, urban planners, designers and technologists.


About the role:

The Project Coordinator will assist in the planning, execution of projects ensuring all tasks are completed on time. This role will involve liaising with different departments, research and on ground data collection, field visits and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of project.


Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in the development of project plans and timelines.
  • Work closely with program team to coordinate project schedules, resources and activities.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for project updates and status.
  • Facilitate communication between team members, external vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document minutes.
  • Address stakeholder inquiries, issues, and concerns promptly.

Data Collection, Documentation and Reporting:

  • Research on existing urban policies, programs, Field visits for data collection, data analysis- both quantitative and qualitative
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, reports, meeting notes, and task lists.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for the project team and stakeholders.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support, including organizing travel, handling correspondence, and preparing reports.
  • Keep an updated project calendar and assist in scheduling key project tasks.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in urban planning/ design, Project management, economics, social sciences.
  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • 1-2 years of on ground work experience in project management or research.
  • Good analytical skills and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong command over English and Hindi both spoken and written.
  • Willing to travel for work.
  • Working proficiency in GIS and other tools like Microsoft Office, Canva and Indesign will be preferred.
