Job Overview:
Pune Institute of Business Management is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Assistant Professor with a Ph.D. to join our faculty. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) Projects and delivering Management Development Programs (MDP) for corporate clients. This position requires an individual with a strong background in consulting, training, and academic research. The role also includes responsibilities related to student counseling and guiding research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
MSME Project Management:
Lead and manage MSME-focused projects, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and industry needs.
Develop and implement Management Development Programs tailored to the specific needs of MSME companies.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate partners to facilitate MDP engagements.
Design and deliver high-impact training programs, addressing the management and development needs of MSME clients.
Conduct assessments to identify client needs and provide strategic solutions.
Corporate Engagement:
Travel as required to meet with corporate clients and deliver MDPs.
Engage in business development activities to explore new opportunities for consulting and training with MSME companies.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
Academic Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, entrepreneurship, and related areas.
Develop and enhance course materials that incorporate practical MDP experiences and real-world case studies.
Conduct research in management and MSME development, aiming for high-quality publications in reputable journals.
Participate in academic conferences and contribute to the academic community through research and presentations.
Student Counseling and Guidance:
Provide academic advising and career counseling to students, with a focus on management consulting and MSME-related career paths.
Mentor students in their research projects, theses, and internships, offering guidance and support.
Promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Research and Publications:
Conduct original research in areas related to MSME management and development.
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
Contribute to the institution’s research initiatives and academic reputation.
Administrative and Professional Development:
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other institutional activities.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in management and MSME practices.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Proven experience in delivering Management Development Programs to MSME companies.
Strong background in academic teaching, research, and student mentorship.
Demonstrated ability to consult with and engage corporate clients effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to travel for business purposes.
Ability to work collaboratively with both academic and corporate stakeholders.
