JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Reporting and Analytics specialist you will be responsible for supporting Data and Business Intelligence projects and initiatives, manage and improve relationship with the business stakeholders and support the technical team to develop, maintain and deploy data analysis and reporting systems in line with the established data governance and architecture.

Reporting to the Reporting and Analytics Business Partner, this position is part of the IT Applications team within IT.


Responsibilities

  • Support Data and Business Intelligence projects and initiatives.
  • Support a team of data engineers, data analysts and business intelligence professionals (internals and externals)
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of data analysis and reporting systems and overall data architecture.
  • Support the Implementation and maintenance of global processes to coordinate and prioritize projects demand between the functions and IT
  • Support to establish and uphold data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and devise customized solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Analyze business performance data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors supporting Data Management Platforms and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Support the Organization Data Strategy and advocate Data Usage practices and adoption of modern tools within the organization.
  • Lead & manage AMS partners to ensure all requests (Incidents/SRs/CRs) under Reporting and Analytics area are on track and delivered on time.


Education & Experience :

  • 5 to 10 years of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments within Chemical or related industries
  • 5+ years of proven experience in data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Project management skills. Relative certifications will be favorably considered.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Solid understanding ofIT architecture, platforms and solutions that support the business (e.g. Salesforce, SAP BW, PowerBi, Informatica)
  • Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools.
  • Experience in data modeling and database design.
  • Experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Relative certifications will be favorably considered.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBi.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and MS Power BI.
  • Understanding of data analysis tools such as Python and R.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
