Job OpportunityThe role of a Mechanical Testing Engineer involves overseeing and executing mechanical tests, analyzing data, and drafting comprehensive technical reports under the guidance of a lab head or technical lead.This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy being hands-on with equipment and diving into data to understand material behavior.Conduct various mechanical tests (e.g. tension, compression, bending, shear, hardness, impact) in accordance with relevant standards and internal procedures.Assist in setting up test rigs, fixtures, sensors, and data acquisition systems.Prepare test specimens, ensure correct mounting/alignment, and run trials as required.Support the development and refinement of test methods and fixtures.Record, validate, and analyze test data with high accuracy using statistical tools and engineering calculations.Prepare clear, concise test reports with data, graphs, and technical conclusions.Maintain proper documentation and traceability for all tests performed.Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical testing equipment (e.g. UTM, impact testers, hardness testers).Adhere to lab SOPs, work instructions, and quality system requirements.Escalate any deviations, abnormalities, or equipment issues to the supervisor.Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.Execute tests in line with applicable Indian and global standards (as trained).Follow quality procedures for sample identification, data recording, and reporting.
