We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join our team and leverage their expertise in criminal-appeals and post-conviction matters. This role is ideal for someone who excels in written advocacy and prefers working outside of the courtroom.About the RoleThe selected candidate will prepare draft briefs, memoranda, and related filings in criminal-appeals and post-conviction cases, utilizing their exceptional legal-writing skills and knowledge of constitutional, evidentiary, and procedural issues.Draft appellate briefs, writ petitions, motions, and supporting memoranda in criminal cases, showcasing a strong command of persuasive analysisConduct thorough reviews of trial records, transcripts, and prior filings to identify relevant facts and legal issues, applying critical thinking skillsEngage in focused legal research on complex topics, demonstrating a keen understanding of relevant laws and regulationsCollaborate with senior attorneys to revise drafts and ensure high-quality work productsMaintain open communication channels and meet deadlines within a remote workflow, prioritizing efficiency and productivityThis position requires a law degree, experience in appellate writing, and a strong foundation in legal writing and analysis.
