Business Analyst Role Description The Business Analyst will play a critical role in understanding business needs, analysing processes, and driving data-backed improvements across Kimbal’s operations. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and leadership to design effective solutions, streamline processes, and support decision-making through accurate reporting and insights. You will ensure that business requirements are translated into clear actionable plans and that projects are executed efficiently. Key Responsibilities Evaluate business processes, identify gaps, and recommend data-driven improvements. Conduct ongoing reviews of processes and develop optimization strategies for operational efficiency. Facilitate meetings, presentations, and discussions to share insights, findings, and proposed solutions. Perform detailed requirements analysis and translate business needs into clear documentation. Document, track, and communicate the progress and results of analytical initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of solutions. Gather critical information from stakeholder discussions and convert them into actionable reports or dashboards. Work closely with internal teams, field staff, and customers to understand operational challenges. Ensure proposed solutions align with business goals, technical feasibility, and user needs. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate requirements and solution effectiveness. Manage and maintain dashboards, reports, SOPs, and performance-monitoring tools. Prioritize tasks and initiatives based on business urgency and impact. Act as a bridge between stakeholders, users, and technical teams. Manage multiple priorities and ensure project deliverables are completed on time. Continuously update, implement, and monitor business procedures for operational excellence. Current Challenges Building standardized processes across multiple cross-functional teams as Kimbal rapidly scales its smart metering deployments. Streamlining data flow between field teams, customer teams, and internal functions to reduce delays and improve accuracy. Enhancing reporting mechanisms and dashboards to support faster decision-making. Managing cross-functional alignment while handling evolving client requirements and project timelines. Identifying process inefficiencies early and proposing solutions that are both scalable and practical for on-ground teams. Ensuring documentation, requirements, and business insights stay updated amidst changing operational priorities. Strengthening communication loops between users, stakeholders, and technical teams to minimize rework. Job Requirements Qualifications MBA form top-tier 1 institutes. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and conceptual clarity. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate to define acceptable solutions. Strong technical aptitude with comfort in working with data, systems, and tools. Excellent documentation, requirement-writing, and presentation skills. Experience in preparing detailed analytical reports and leading discussions with stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and manage multiple priorities. Strong planning, organization, and time-management capabilities. Proven track record of supporting or leading successful project implementations. Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills — ability to simplify technical concepts. Why Kimbal?
