We are hiring for our client in Chennai. Exciting opportunity to build an amazing product.We are hiring a Data Infrastructure Engineer (mid-senior level, 3–7 years) to take full ownership of our data systems as we scale. You’ll be the first dedicated hire in this space, with the mandate to modernize our data infrastructure for speed, cost efficiency, and reliability.This is a hands-on role where you’ll design and optimize pipelines, warehouses, and integrations while also shaping how new features are built to ensure data systems remain scalable and AI/ML-ready.Key Responsibilities:Own and optimize data infrastructure end-to-end for cost, performance, and reliability.Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple internal and external sources.Design scalable data models and storage (partitioning, clustering, governance).Partner with product and engineering teams on data architecture for new features.Lay the foundation for advanced analytics and AI/ML pipelines.Track usage, set up monitoring/alerts, and ensure uptime of critical data flows.What we’re looking for:3–7 years in data engineering or infra-focused roles.Strong expertise in SQL and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred, Snowflake, or Redshift).Hands-on with ETL/ELT orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, etc.).Proficiency in Python for data engineering.Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure fine).Experience in a ISO27001 or SOC2 certified multi-tenant SaaS or high-scale environment(Nice to have) Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.) and BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau).Soft Skills and Personality Traits:Strong and clear communication.High levels of ownership and initiative to actively seek and solve problems.Ability to think independently, but work collaboratively in a team.Professional and disciplined execution with focus on good engineering practices.What Will We Do For You?Be the first dedicated data infra owner with scope to grow into a lead role.Work on real-world scaling challenges with direct leadership visibility.Opportunity to work with leading global brands and clients.Office next to the beach"Sports team with a heart" mentality.
