Title: Head of Strategic Insights
Job Location: Electronic City, Bangalore (WFO)
Education: CFA or MBA (General Management, Strategy, etc.)from institute of repute.
Experience: 15+ years of experience in Competitive, Market Intelligence Analyst/Managerial roles preferably in FMCG or Lifesciences industry. Experience in building competition profiles and databases is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic insight’s function, developing frameworks to provide actionable recommendations from analysis of industry, market, customers, and competition.
- Gather and analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Identify and evaluate industry landscape, growth drivers, and tailwinds, and their potential impact on Syngene.
- Develop competitor profiles through deep dives covering competitor capabilities, facilities, product/service lines, and capacity.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities, including capacity additions, investment focus areas, entry into new segments, pricing strategies, market positioning, financial performance, and other key business initiatives.
- Track financial performance of competitors and bring analysis and actionable insights that can strengthen Syngene’s competitiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into commercial strategies, operational planning, and innovation pipelines.
- Design and oversee initiatives to gather customer insights, focusing on client needs, preferences, and satisfaction metrics.
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and data visualization tools to enhance decision-making processes across the organization.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team and other stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies, consultants, and industry experts to enrich insights.
- Support periodic strategy formulation and annual strategy refresh exercises covering industry/peer insights and crystallize their impact on Syngene and its growth possibilities.
- Develop a database of industry information that can be used to build strategic insights.
- Support the development of business cases for new product/service expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and market entry strategies.
- Develop and maintain ongoing reporting and dashboards to track industry trends and competitive performance.
- Create impactful Point of View Whitepapers on major industry trends and technologies.

- Leadership abilities to set up CI, MI capabilities for the company.
- Strong analytical skills to grasp complex issues.
- Good comprehension ability, attention to detail, quality control and ability to articulate.
- Ability to develop meaningful insights and recommendations from disparate data sets.
- Critical thinking and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and priority-setting skills with the flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills; ability to present findings and insights to senior management.
