Job OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Underwriting Team Lead to join our team. As an Underwriting Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of a group of associates and ensuring they meet all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in the Mortgage underwriting area.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and lead a group of associates to meet all SLAs relative to any and all functions in the Mortgage underwriting area.Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.Coordinate activities with the manager to ensure seamless department operations.Develop recommendations for process improvements to enhance team performance and client satisfaction.Collaborate with internal support teams to ensure efficient production processes.Requirements:5-7 years of experience in US Residential Mortgage underwriting.Proficiency in mortgage industry practices and procedures.Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate team members.Strong customer service, negotiation, and leadership abilities required.
