SolarWinds is seeking a highly skilled Staff UI Engineer to lead the development of exceptional user interfaces for our software products. In this role, you will influence UI architecture and design, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and high-performing solutions.


Your Role

  • Lead the design and development of user interface components for modern web applications, ensuring performance and responsiveness.
  • Translate UX/UI designs into high-quality, accessible, and user-friendly code.
  • Architect and optimize front-end solutions for scalability, maintainability, and performance using modern frameworks and libraries.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices in coding, design patterns, and development workflows.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define technical requirements and project deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency across the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in UI development processes by staying current with the latest trends and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

Your Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of UI development with a strong portfolio of modern web applications.
  • Expertise in React, with demonstrated experience in building and maintaining scalable applications.
  • Strong understanding of complex state management tools (e.g., React Context, Zustand, Redux, MobX).
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, or similar) and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Proven ability to optimize web applications for performance and scalability.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
