Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps DBA with expertise in MongoDB , PostgresDB to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for automating, managing, and scaling MongoDB/Postgres databases within our infrastructure, ensuring continuous integration, deployment, and smooth operation of systems in a production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain MongoDB & Postgres DB clusters, including setting up replication, sharding, and backup strategies.
  • Perform database tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and backup/restore solutions for MongoDB.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for database deployments, schema migrations, and MongoDB-related infrastructure.
  • Automate the provisioning of MongoDB & AWS Infra IaaC tools (Terraform, Ansible )
  • Manage cloud resources ( AWS ) for MongoDB instances, ensuring scalability and high availability.
  • Deploy MongoDB in containerized environments using Docker.
  • Orchestrate MongoDB clusters using Kubernetes for scaling and high availability.
  • Set up and manage monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, or MongoDB’s Ops Manager.
  • Write scripts for automation of recurring tasks such as backups, restores, scaling, and performance tuning using Shell, Python, or Bash.
  • Automate backup processes and regularly test disaster recovery protocols.
  • Ensure MongoDB security best practices such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of MongoDB.
  • Provide database-related insights and recommendations to improve application performance and scalability.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles with a strong focus on MongoDB & Postgres DB.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including replication, sharding, backups, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and managing MongoDB on the cloud.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or MongoDB Ops Manager.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Shell.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • MongoDB certification (e.g., MongoDB Certified DBA or MongoDB Certified Developer).
  • Handson knowledge on SQL DB (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus.
