DDI Infoblox - Solution Engineer
Experience: 9 to16 Years
Location: Bangalore / Noida
· Certification (e.g Infoblox Professional Services Certification Track) and expert level knowledge of DDI solutions (preferable InfoBlox) with extensive experience of usage in large complex enterprises.
· Proven experience with Infoblox Grid and DDI solutions (NIOS and BloxOne)
o Strong CLI and GUI skills for Infoblox products.
o Preferably Threat Defense and/or Advance DNS Protection
· Solid understanding of network protocols and security practices and principles, particularly in relation to DNS and DHCP.
· Clear understanding of infrastructure layers or stack, and a broad knowledge across multiple platforms such as server, operating system, virtualisation, or network.
· Able to deploy and manage DDI platforms on private Cloud, Azure, AWS and / or VMware vSphere environments.
Task / Activities:
· Develop high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documentation for DDI solutions with engineering team ( Required for Solution Engg but Recommended for Advance support)
· Deploy, configure and maintain Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions(e.g. physical/VM appliances & NTP hardware.)
o Implement and manage DNSSEC to enhance DNS security.
· Support Tier1 team planning and executing of MACDs (Move, Add, Change, Delete) of the following DDI objects:
o DNS Data move/add/change/delete
o IP Subnet move/add/change/delete
o IP address move/add/change/delete
o DHCP scopes move/add/change/delete
o DHCP reservations move/add/change/delete
o DHCP options move/add/change/delete
o User Group move/add/change/delete
o IPAM option move/add/change/delete
· Responsible of Tier2/Tier3 incident, change and problem tickets (ETMS) which could consist of (but not limited to):
o Perform device configurations
o Internal operating system upgrades and software upgrades
o Join new Grid members using CLI.
o Troubleshoot and resolve Grid join issues.
o Manage Grid and service licenses through the Infoblox Support Portal.
o Upload Grid and service licenses via CLI and GUI.
o Create and manage DNS Name Server Groups.
o Establish DHCP Failover Associations.
o Import IPAM Networks and Network Containers from CSV files.
· Documentation of customer solutions
· Creating and documenting technical reports
· Planning and execution of upgrades/migrations in customer environments
