Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Security Vulnerability Remediation Specialist to join our organization.The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities in our applications, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance with industry standards.Vulnerability TriageReview findings from scanning tools such as Burp Suite, ZAP, Mend, Snyk, JFrog XRay, Wiz, and Qualys to identify true positives and false positives.Validate severity and exploitability, prioritizing overdue medium vulnerabilities and confirm whether the finding is a true positive or false positive.Document justification for false positives, including scan logs and GitHub issue links.Submit exception requests via approved workflows, including GitHub Exception Templates for Mend, Snyk, Xray, and email the security team for unresolved cases, route Wiz false positives to the Security Platforms team for backend review.Remediation CoordinationCreate a Jira ticket in the correct team backlog for confirmed vulnerabilities, including vulnerability alert details, scanning source reference, and recommended remediation steps.Link the Jira ticket to the original vulnerability alert for traceability.Proceed to fix those that require a development change following sufficient progress in triaging vulnerabilities.Reporting & GovernanceMaintain accurate records of triage decisions and false positive justifications.Provide weekly updates on backlog reduction progress.Ensure compliance with Risk Vulnerability Management Standards.Required Skills & Experience:Strong understanding of application security principles and vulnerability types.Experience developing web applications, preferably in a PHP/MySQL environment.Hands-on experience with DAST, SAST, SCA, CSPM, and infrastructure scanning tools.Familiarity with Jira and GitHub workflows for issue tracking and exception handling.Ability to analyze scan results and differentiate between true positives and false positives.Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.About this Role:This position plays a key role in our organization's cybersecurity efforts, requiring expertise in vulnerability identification and remediation.The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of application security principles, have hands-on experience with various scanning tools, and be proficient in analyzing scan results.What We Offer:A challenging and dynamic work environment.The opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals.Professional growth and development opportunities.
