When our systems work properly, they are able to reliably deliver relevant ads to all of our viewers; driving higher revenue for our business and helping our customers to discover brands and products that are relevant to their interests. Defects in our systems can negatively impact revenue and deliver advertisements that detract from the viewer experience due to irrelevance, repetition and other factors. If you are interested in a leading role with a heavy emphasis on automated testing where the results of your work will have significant impact on the business and be highly visible to company leadership, then this might be the right opportunity for youResponsibilies include:Work closely with Software Engineers and leadership to understand the complex advertising ecosystem in place at DE&EEstablish and manage testing processes inside scrum teams/squadsManage development of QE automation framework components and provide technical guidance to team membersParticipate in design discussions to help evolve DE&E eCommerce in a way that enables richer testing scenarios that simplify defect detection and preventionSupervise triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered across teamsBe responsible for timely delivery of high quality productBe responsible for recruitment, career development and performance assessment of the team membersLead innovation, development and improvement of daily processesResponsibilities and Duties of the Role:Summarize job responsibilities, core deliverables and major duties. What is required for the position to exist?Focus on major areas of work, typically 20% or more of role% of TimePart of product delvery teams in building architectures which are robust, fault-tolerant, and cloud- native. Build solutions for problems of sizeable scope and complexity that have been successfully deployed to customers/users. Influences and drives software engineering best practices within the team10%Technically lead and deliver multiple projects utilizing an Agile methodology while reviewing team members code. Participate in developing technical and/or business approaches; and new/enhanced technical tools.70%Participate in design of QE automation framework. Review code for the design, testability and clear usability. Identify opportunities to improve the system/product/services with each iteration.20%Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:Minimum and Preferred. Inclusive of Licenses/Certs (include functional experience as well as behavioral attributes and/or leadership capabilities)Minimum of 8 years of hands-on software test development experience and at least 2 years of technical leadershipPassion around driving best practices in the testing spaceProficiency with PythonKnowledge of software engineering practices and agile approachesStrong desire for establishing and improving product qualityExperience building or improving test automation frameworks .Proficiency with CICD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins, Spinnaker or other similar tools.Willingness to take challenges head on while being part of a teamB.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent degree or work experience)
