Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage projects from beginning to end, including project initiation, project scoping and planning, implementation, delivery and project closure with lessons learnedMaintain regular communication, and build relationships, with the most senior levels on the customer side, typically programme/operations Director levelManage project risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions and identify solutionsEnsure project profitability, quality of deliverables and client satisfaction is achievedAccurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins and utilisationActively participate in pre-sales and produce project contractual documents such as Statements of Work (SOW), project scoping and estimation, proposal creation and contract preparationsEstablish full scale project plans for all phases which includes all activities and costs to ensure successful delivery (including resourcing)Ensure budget proposals are created and in line with budgetary requirementsMaintain regular and effective communication with all customers and relevant stakeholders both internally and externallyManage any 3rd party suppliers into the project, coordinating their involvement and priming their delivery into the customerContinually manage project dependencies and critical pathPlan, schedule and track project timelines milestones and deliverables using appropriate toolsDeliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentationsProactively manage changes in project scope which may have commercial or deadline implications, identify potential issues and risk, and devise contingency plans to get the project back on trackDefine project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycleSet and continually lead project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, (internal or external)Book and manage the required resources with the relevant skills needed to deliver projects in line with budgetDay to day management of the software delivery progress, reporting issues, proposed resolutions and any escalations back to the Senior ManagerEnsure client quality documentation is produced for the project delivery (Designs, test approach, system test summary report, release notes, training packs etc.)Manage the implementation of the delivery into customer environments (test and production), including any configuration, and ensuring a smooth transition to Live serviceContribute to improving team processes by identifying process improvements or inefficient work practicesLine Management for a team, undertaking bi-annual performance reviews, setting and monitoring goals and assisting with their growth and development and ensure they are adhering to Telepin company policies and processesCoach, mentor and motivate project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned workBuild, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the projectAssure project contractual documents are completed and signedComply with the Programme Management Methodology (PMM) based on PRINCE IIEnsure the project delivery has the required awareness of and ensures compliance to ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO22301 where applicableAny other duties as requiredYou are:A customer focused project manager with significant experience of software delivery projects into a customer environmentExtensive experience of managing IT development projects using a formal development methodology, including waterfall and agileMeticulous, structured with excellent attention to detailExperienced dealing with external and internal stakeholders at senior levelsCommercially aware and able to demonstrate sound judgement and make decisionsHighly customer focused and client facing with experience of working with third parties and in a vendor environmentA strong negotiator with the ability to gain cooperation from a wide variety of sourcesA problem solver with the ability to take ownership of issues and drive resolutionFlexible and adaptable with the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelinesAble to persuade, encourage and motivate others, often in challenging situationsAble to travel within and outside of the UK to Telepin's client sites for periods of timeDesirable: Knowledge of the Telecommunications industryDesirable technical skills: MS Project and or other project management planning tools, PlanView, Jira, Confluence, Source Code Version Control Tools (e.g. Perforce), Agile techniques
