Key Role Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of professional process modellers and instructional writers to ensure the services delivered by the team are consistent with the stakeholder expectations and NAB standards.
- Support key stakeholders and 2nd line risk partners with the execution of key processes related to process modelling and instructional writing activities, including the review and endorsement of various dashboards
- Contributing towards divisional targets by partnering with Process &/ Model owners and other stakeholders (e.g Change teams, DCO, project teams, SMEs)
- Develop and maintain a positive team culture whilst driving an agile delivery mindset
- Conduct coaching sessions with the team members, including developing and delivering training programs/ workshops on process modelling and instructional writing to enhance the awareness and maturity of the team and the function
- Contributing to development of Centre of Excellence (COE) practices, working with the broader squad to continuously improve standard processes, tools and templates and uplifting capability within COE & across Enterprise Operations. This includes working towards towards PACE accreditation.
- Proactively monitoring process risk and assurance requirements to ensure compliance within agreed Risk Appetite and timely management of any non-compliance
- Identify process optimisation and automation opportunities from process models
- Communicating and driving best practice and consistency across the enterprise specific to process modelling and instructional writing activities
Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements
- At least 15+ years' experience in risk management, internal audit and/or process modelling
- Tertiary qualification in an aligned discipline. Post Graduate qualifications desirable
- Experience in Banking and Financial services
- Experience in managing and leading a team
- Knowledge of control design, risk assessment and process modelling standards
- Demonstrated experience in Lean & Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in process mapping (MS Visio, Signavio), process documentation (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Ability to influence and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Inquisitive, analytical, and critical thinker
- Ability to autonomously organise and facilitate workshops with Subject Matter Experts to develop &/ review models (inc. associated controls & obligations)
