Job Description:This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical database systems. Key responsibilities include ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance.Lead database system design, development, and implementation to meet business requirements and industry best practices.Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and other techniques for efficient data access and system response times.Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and regular security audits.Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data availability and integrity.Monitor database systems for performance issues, proactively identifying and resolving problems to minimize downtime.Required Skills and Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you will need:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.8-10 years of experience in database administration roles with a strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems.Expert knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.Strong SQL and query tuning skills, experience with database optimization techniques.Strong understanding of data security and privacy best practices and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.Familiarity with cloud-based database services, such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.Benefits:We offer competitive compensation, schedule flexibility, fitness clubs, company parties, wellness programs, onsite physician, and massage therapist.
