Job Description:Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):1. Visual Designa. Create high-quality graphics across various channels (print, digital, social media, presentations).b. Develop design concepts based on brand guidelines, target audience, and campaign objectives.c. Roll out template assets with minor modifications.d. Adapt and modify existing designs in a variety of mediums – digital, packaging, print.e. Assist in photography + video production and editing.f. Assist in UX/UI design for websites and apps.g. Stay up-to-date on current design trends and best practices especially within the food industry.h. Stay up-to-date on current software programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.2. Team Collaboration:a. Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effectivedesign solutions.b. Present design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders, incorporating feedbackeffectively.c. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.d. Proactively communicate progress and any challenges encountered to ensure smooth project flow.e. Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions.3. Confidentiality & Continuous Improvement:a. Deal with sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner, ensuring confidentiality ismaintained including customer or proprietary information, trade secrets etc.b. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the overall design process forour team.4. Project management:a. Assist Creative director with project management tasks, including budgeting, timeline developmentand resource allocation.b. Prepare mock-ups and present concepts to stakeholders for feedback and approval.c. Manage revisions and make adjustments to designs based on feedback.d. Maintain a record of design files and assets and adhere to given file structures.5. Additional Responsibilities:a. Research and gather inspiration for design projectsb. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and actively participate in team discussions.c. Stay organized and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.d. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow, actively seeking opportunities to expand skillset.6. Health and Safety requirements:a. Understand and follow procedures in case of emergencies, including knowing who to contact forassistance.b. Manage fatigue by taking mandatory rest breaks and adhering to break times during work hours.c. Maintain open communication with management regarding any safety concerns or incidentsencountered during warehouse operations.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):i. Meeting Brand Standards: Design tasks executed to a high standard.ii. Design Accuracy: Design tasks & projects executed with minimal rounds of feedback.iii. Working to Deadline: Tasks & projects are completed by deadlines with allowance for proofing time.Key Attributes:I. Qualificationa. Tertiary qualification or degree in Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.II. Experience:a. 2-4 years agency or in-house design experience.b. A strong and varied design portfolio.c. Excellent understanding of creative principals, branding & content creation.d. Optional: Experience in related verticals such as social media, web design or development.III. Knowledge & Skills:a. Extensive knowledge in design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud).b. Excellent ability to pay attention to detail.c. Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the creative industry.d. Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in digital marketing environment.e. Skills and experience building and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholderrelationships.f. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.g. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.h. Knowledge of the New Zealand market and consumer preferences is a plus.i. Knowledge of the foodservice industry is a plus.j.
