You'll be working with the Supply Chain team.This team runs on supplier negotiations, spend analysis and coffee (with suppliers of course). Build to simplify.What you will doIn this role, you will own the strategic sourcing of all Metal components, working closely with supplier partners, engineering, product and operations teams to deliver Exponent Enabled Electric Vehicles with 15-minute rapid charging to the market.Responsibilities• Drive supplier relationships to deliver supplier partner metrics of cost, quality, delivery & localisation• Negotiate prices, contracts and on-board suppliers in tandem with new product development• Drive sourcing projects, and build process capabilities with partners across Fabrication, Stamping, Casting parts and Fasteners, Adhesives.• Drive should costing for the NPD projects.• Benchmark cost & quality; identify suppliers, process capabilities, or technologies that will drive productivity• Drive supplier engagements to further innovation & quality across productsThe ideal candidate requires• Relevant 4 to 5 years of experience with strategic sourcing, metal components• Structured problem-solving, detail orientation, and customer-first attitude• Data-driven decision makingWhat matters• Empathy toward all customers• Holding Context as your guiding force• Approach towards problem-solving• A positive attitude• Resilient attitude to bounce back after failureAbout UsExponent simplifies energy for EVs.Co-founded by Arun Vinayak (Ather Energy's Founding Partner & Former Chief Product Officer) and Sanjay Byalal (Former hardware strategic sourcing and cell strategy lead, Ather and Former Supply Chain Lead, HUL), Exponent focuses on solving two sides of the energy problem by building the e^pump (charging station) and e^pack (battery pack) which together unlock 15-min rapid chargingThe 200+ strong team has tons of EV experience and is in the process of hiring more professionals to build & scale Exponent as one of the best EV Energy Companies out of India
