JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE : Technical Architect ( Long term Contract)Reports to - Director Technology JOB PURPOSE Seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to oversee the technology, business and security architecture of existing apps an incoming requests. The Technical Architect will be responsible for ensuring alignment to architecture, security, and technology guidelines across all solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise systems, cloud computing, IoT systems, data management, Enterprise Applications Integrations and emerging technologies, along with active participation in Architecture Review Board (ARB) activities.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESAccountabilitiesMajor ActivitiesArchitectural Strategy, Compliance & Governance:Update architectural standards, principles, and best practices on need basisMaintain short/long-term technology roadmapUpdate and enforce technical standards and policies.Create various architectural artefacts to support ARB process.Technology & Solution Architecture:Maintain adherence network architecture, cloud workload, and IT system landscape guidance.Review high-level and low-level solution designsProvide architectural guidance during project initiation and executionEnforce use of approved technologies and design principlesArchitecture Review Board (ARB) Involvement:Actively participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) activities to review and approve IT architectures.Review proposed solution architecture and recommend considering scalability, security, and high-performance IT solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and optimize ARB documents based on feedback.Conduct architecture assessments, identify potential risks, and improvement areas in proposed solutionsData ArchitectureGather and help define enterprise data models and metadata strategiesEstablish methods to govern data quality, lineage, and interoperabilityCollaborate with data governance and analytics teamsTechnical Skills:Deep knowledge of Application Architecture, System Integration, Cloud computing, IoT architecture and business requirement standards.Experience with core systems in Airport operation domain and enterprise systems such as COTS products, Cloud/SaaS applications, ERP, CRM, Mobile Applications, IoT-OT systems, middleware and data platforms.Experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud services.Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.Strong background in security architecture and compliance standards.Sound knowledge is Infrastructure, Networking and Application support methodologyExpertise in evaluating trade-offs between different architectural choices.End-to-End Project ManagementManage and oversee the complete lifecycle of IT projects, including planning, design and implementation of pilots.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical and business requirements.Provide regular updates to the leadership team on project status, issues, and risk mitigation planStakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with department leaders, IT/ Solution Engagement team, and external vendors to drive ARB review process.Act as a bridge between Solution Engagement Team and technology teams to help translating business needs into architectural solutions.Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.Optimization & Performance:Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of ARB reviews and enterprise architecture initiatives.Conduct post-implementation audit for architecture and security controls to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.Business SupportGuide to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring that technology supports the business requirement & documentation of the same.InnovationResearch and evaluate emerging technologies to keep abreast of such application in a typical airport domainDIMENSIONS Financial (Eg: Budgets, project costs, capex etc.,)Planning and Project ExecutionNon-Financial (Eg: No. of direct/ indirect reports, headcount in projects, no. of clients handled etc.,)Technical evaluation of proposed solutionsSolution ReviewDocument quality checkJOB SPECIFICATION5.1. Education qualification and certifications (Indicate the level of education and certifications required)Bachelor or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.5.2. Years of Experience (Years of relevant experience required)12 - 15 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in an application/solution architecture role.5.3. Computer skills (Indicate the required knowledge on software, applications, hard ware etc., that are required)Application Architecture review and assessmentIntegration mechanism, Cloud Services across Azure, AWS and GCP.Business Requirement methodology and project management5.4.
