Job Opportunity:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Manager with Spanish language proficiency to support our S16 Accounting operations.This role involves managing lease accounting processes under International Financial Reporting Standards 16 (IFRS 16) and collaborating with Spanish-speaking stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.The ideal candidate will have experience in handling end-to-end lease accounting activities, including contract creation, modification, and monthly postings.They should also be proficient in performing hygiene checks and validations to ensure data accuracy before contract postings.Ongoing reconciliation of monthly balance sheets for Right-of-Use (ROU), Lease Liability (LL), clearing, and related General Ledger (GL) accounts is a critical aspect of this role.Investigating and resolving variances between reference accounting records and actuals is another key responsibility.Effective communication with Spanish-speaking markets and coordination with Finance Operations, business teams, and landlords to resolve queries efficiently are essential skills required for this position.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.Spanish language proficiency – B1/B2 level (spoken and written).Familiarity with IFRS 16 and lease accounting principles.Strong analytical and communication skills.Proficiency in SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.Preferred Attributes:Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment.Exposure to virtual teams or cross-border collaboration.Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
