Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end project execution, ensuring seamless integration of design, construction, and installation across high-end interior projects. This individual will lead project teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
Oversee all aspects of project execution from initial kick-off to final handover, ensuring alignment with client expectations and design specifications.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, including site engineers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, and other support staff.
Conduct regular team meetings and site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure clear communication among all team members.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Manage client expectations and communicate project updates, addressing any scope changes or challenges promptly.
Budget & Resource Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with the procurement team to secure materials, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of resources.
Technical Expertise & Quality Assurance:
Implement best practices in quality control, safety, and compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
Address technical challenges on-site, such as structural adjustments, MEP coordination, and material specifications.
Ensure the quality of craftsmanship, with attention to detail on finishes, installations, and material applications.
Risk Management & Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, including site-related issues, labor shortages, and unexpected design changes.
Resolve on-site conflicts, adapt to unforeseen challenges, and maintain project momentum while minimizing delays.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the interior fit-out or construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
Strong understanding of interiors, materials, construction techniques, and project management software (e.g., Powerplay, MS Project).
Proven experience in managing high-end commercial, residential, or hospitality projects in India.
Key Skills:
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in budget management, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, structural elements, and interior detailing.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
