Cloud-Based Data Architecture Specialist

Azure Data Architect PositionWe are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead our enterprise data strategy and architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms, including Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.The selected individual will be responsible for designing and implementing data lakes, data warehouses, and data lakehouses, as well as leading data platform modernization efforts.Develop and execute the enterprise data architecture strategy to support analytics, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence/machine learning initiatives.Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data processing pipelines using batch and streaming data architectures.Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business needs and provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.10-12 years of overall IT experience, with at least 8+ years as a Data Architect.Proven experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data lakehouses.Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Factory.Experience with real-time streaming frameworks, such as Kafka and Spark Streaming.Familiarity with data governance, lineage, cataloging, and compliance frameworks.Solid understanding of cloud-native services, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Bonus Points: Familiarity with Python for data engineering and automation, and experience with query optimization and schema design.This is a unique opportunity to join our team and shape the future of our data architecture.
