Role Overview As the Head of Study Abroad Sales , you will be responsible for leading, scaling, and optimizing the performance of our sales function. You will manage a team of 50+ sales associates and team leaders, ensuring they meet enrollment targets, deliver exceptional student experiences, and maintain high productivity levels. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, requiring strong operational skills, people management, and a data-driven mindset. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Execution Own and drive the inside sales strategy for the Study Abroad business, aligned with business growth and revenue goals. Build and execute plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual student acquisition targets. Optimize lead allocation, follow-up strategy, and funnel conversion across various regions and student segments. Identify and improve key sales levers including talk time, follow-up cadence, call-to-application and application-to-conversion rates. Team Management & Leadership Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of ~50 inside sales associates, including 4–6 team leads/supervisors. Design and implement training programs to improve product knowledge, objection handling, sales pitch quality, and closing rates. Drive a performance culture through clear KPIs, dashboards, incentive structures, and regular performance reviews. Ensure team productivity and engagement through a mix of data-driven insights, coaching, and recognition. Process & Funnel Optimization Work closely with marketing, counseling, and product teams to ensure seamless student journeys from inquiry to enrollment. Implement sales tools (CRM, dialers, lead management systems) and processes for better pipeline visibility and efficiency. Monitor sales metrics, forecast accurately, and report regularly to leadership. Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaigns. Coordinate with university relations, visa, and counseling teams for end-to-end support. Play a key role in improving the overall service delivery and NPS by acting as the voice of the student. Requirements 8–10 years of total experience, with 5+ years in leading large study abroad sales teams , preferably in edtech, overseas education, or high-velocity B2C domains. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets through high-performing teams. Strong understanding of sales CRMs, lead management, and sales automation tools. Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills. Analytical mindset with comfort in using data to drive decisions and improvements. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and target-oriented environment. Exposure to the Study Abroad industry or higher education domain is a strong advantage.
