This position involves overseeing all aspects of SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database management, including installation, configuration, deployment, and general administration of the database engine.Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining databases and database objects, performance tuning, optimization, networking, and security.Experience with virtualization, specifically Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Web Services, is required.The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of the Windows operating system and its interaction with the database.Proficiency in database scripting, particularly in reading and analyzing Transact-SQL, is essential for success in this role.Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Automation should be implemented for proactive issue detection and resolution.Preferred qualifications include experience with Azure SQL and SQL Managed Instance, other relational databases, non-relational databases, and various scripting languages.Responsibilities:Database AdministrationAdministering cloud-based databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.Virtualization ExperienceExperience with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Amazon Web Services is required for successful deployment and management of cloud-based databases.Scripting SkillsProficiency in database scripting, particularly in reading and analyzing Transact-SQL, is essential for this role.Requirements:EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience in cloud database administration.SkillsProficiency in database scripting, virtualization, and operating systems.
