Senior Mortgage Underwriter Job DescriptionAs a Senior Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mortgage underwriting process. Your primary responsibility will be to review and analyze loan applications to determine their eligibility for funding.Job Description:You will work closely with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted accurately. You will also conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential issues with each loan application.Required Skills and Qualifications:3+ years of experience in live mortgage underwritingAbility to obtain and decipher Automated Underwriting System (AUS) findingsWorking knowledge of US mortgage originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending lawsStrong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP)Sound knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac GuidelinesGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interpret state rules, statute laws, federal regulations & investor guidelines and apply them to specific loansBenefits:Competitive salary packageNight shift allowance 6k+Incentives 10k+ per monthOthers:You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same.
