The Custom Design Solutions Team is part of Synopsys Circuit Design & TCAD Solutions Group. We work with top-tier Synopsys customers to deploy high-quality Custom/Analog Design Solutions and Flows on latest process nodes. The team works across the spectrum of design including front-end, simulation, back-end, and verification flows. The team


believes in fostering interest and opportunities to work in different aspects of the design spectrum. You will get the right


platform to apply design knowledge, architect and develop Custom Design solutions.


Staff Solutions Engineer


Job Responsibilities

  • Promote the adoption of Synopsys Custom Design Platform to new Customers by delivering presentations and demos
  • Work with Customers to understand their flow requirements and map them to features within Synopsys Custom Design Platform
  • Design and develop Custom scripts for features specific to a given customer or to provide a quick solution while the features are being enhanced.
  • Own the Customer relationship, i.e. work with R&D and other teams to make sure Customer requirements are well understood and
  • track the development of features required by the Customer.



Job Requirements

  • BE/MTech in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
  • 5-10+ years of experience creating and supporting custom design flows using Custom Compiler or equivalent industry standard tools
  • Hands-On experience in coding medium-sized software solutions for custom design problems
  • Expertise in one or more areas like:
  • Advanced custom layout flows for FinFET process
  • Simulation environments and simulator data handling
  • Parasitic extraction techniques
  • Mixed Signal Design with custom design and digital PnR tools
  • Memory design and flow development
  • Automatic Custom Placement and Routing
  • Expertise in one or more scripting/programming languages like TCL/Python/Perl/SKILL
