Job Description:As a skilled Cognos Developer, you will be responsible for managing user access, defining roles and permissions, and ensuring secure data governance across Business Intelligence platforms.Key responsibilities include creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using IBM Cognos, aligned with business Key Performance Indicators and usability best practices.Additionally, you will have experience in handling version-controlled deployments between development, QA, and production environments, ensuring smooth releases with minimal disruption.Furthermore, you will have a strong command over SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, Common Table Expressions, and window functions to support reporting and analytics requirements.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehousing principles such as star schema modeling, fact and dimension tables, and Extract-Transform-Load workflows to support structured analytical solutions.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proficiency in configuring scheduled jobs, automated report distribution, and bursting capabilitiesStrong knowledge of SQL and database management systemsExperience with Cognos BI tools and softwareUnderstanding of data governance and security principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsBenefits:The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with a team of experienced professionals, and develop their skills and expertise in the field of Business Intelligence.Others:The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering insights and value to targeted user groups, and will be able to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
