In India, our engineering centers in Bangalore and Chennai support global product development with 200+ engineers.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Test Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing, with solid expertise in Appium and Selenium. The engineer will work closely with the development team, validating product quality by executing functional tests and automating test cases alongside developer user stories.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Planning & StrategyDevelop automation test plans and obtain stakeholder approvalDefine and document automation strategy using design frameworksCreate comprehensive test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test dataExecution & ReportingPerform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applicationsRecord and track test results, creating and closing defects as necessaryReproduce field issues in the test environment and support root-cause analysisCollaboration & ProcessParticipate in design discussions and provide input to improve testabilityEngage in daily stand-ups and sprint activities in an Agile environmentInstall, configure, and validate product functionality in test and production-like setupsContribute to user story creation and acceptance criteria from a QA perspectiveRequired Skills & ExperienceTesting SkillsStrong experience in manual testing of web and mobile applicationsHands-on experience with automation tools:Appium (Good to have)Java, SeleniumSolid understanding of QA methodologies:Boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, pairwise testingDecision tables, state transition, white-box fundamentalsTechnical Skills:Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for automationExperience with BDD frameworks and Page Object Model (POM)Experience testing cloud-based applications and RESTful APIsFamiliarity with test case management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, TestLodge, etc.)Working knowledge of Bitbucket/SVN or similar version control systemsSoft SkillsExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to complex environmentsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience in QA/Test Engineering (Web/Mobile/SDK)Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, ConfluenceExposure to CI tools: Jenkins, BambooExperience with products involving hardware + software componentsNice to have: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Nice to have: Basic understanding of security testing and performance testing
