ACER India is seeking to hire one (1) Project Leader to support a CBSE project titled ‘Technical Support Unit (TSU) for assisting in establishment and management of Centre for Excellence in Assessment in CBSE to work on Competency Based Assessments’.
This position will require the expert to work closely with the ACER India team and stakeholders within CBSE.
The duration of the project is 2 years.
Responsibilities
- Lead activities of the Centre for Excellence in Assessment (CEA) to align with NEP 2020 goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CBSE, government bodies, and the TSU team.
- Develop project management plans and governance structures.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Guide the creation of competency-based question banks and assessment frameworks.
- Oversee the development of teacher training programs and resources.
- Supervise the development and launch of digital platforms like web portals and mobile apps.
- Use assessment data to evaluate learning outcomes and teacher performance.
- Manage and coordinate the work of the TSU team.
- Training workshops for subject matter experts.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior authorities.
- Develop sustainability plans for digital tools and assessment systems.
Qualifications
- Post-Graduate or equivalent in Management / Economics / Education / Statistics or related discipline.
- PHD in management consulting/Education/assessment.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in management consulting/ Education / Assessment Domain
- Extensive experience on program implementation of 15+ Years in education projects (Central Govt./State /UT Govt.)
- Led/managed at least 5 engagements (in govt) in Education sector
- Proven experience in strategizing and overseeing national level education reforms initiative.
- Working knowledge of Item Response theory (IRT PRO)
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of computers and statistics.
- Proficiency in English
- Good working knowledge of Hindi.
