Are you passionate about building systems that make a real difference in healthcare?Join a fast-growing, well-funded startup revolutionizing the US healthcare ecosystem through smart, secure data integration.What you'll work onDesign and develop integration solutions using HL7, FHIR, DICOM and REST APIs to connect multiple healthcare and backend systems. Build and maintain integrations with EHR, LIS, PACS and other clinical / operational systems such as Epic, Cerner, NextGen, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms. Implement and configure integration engines and middleware (e.g. Mirth, BizTalk, Rhapsody, custom Node.js microservices) for data exchange and workflow automation. Own end-to-end data mapping, transformation and validation across formats such as HL7 v2.x, FHIR resources, DICOM, XML and JSON. Ensure data accuracy, compliance and security of patient data, including HIPAA-aligned access control, logging and encryption within cloud environments. Collaborate closely with product, clinical, implementation and customer teams to understand workflows and deliver robust, scalable integration solutions. Participate in design reviews, code reviews and best-practice documentation for interoperability and backend integration patterns. What you bring (must-haves)3–8 years of experience in backend engineering or integration-focused roles. Strong programming skills in at least one language (preferably Node.js) and solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Hands-on experience building or maintaining APIs, microservices or integration workflows using REST, webhooks, message queues, or integration engines. Strong understanding of data formats and transformation (JSON, XML, CSV, mappings, validation, error handling). Experience working in a cloud environment (preferably AWS or GCP; Azure is also considered) for deploying and operating integrations.
