As we scale toward Series C, we are deepening our data capabilities to improve visibility, decision-making, and product performance across the business.Every decision — from credit risk to customer experience — is grounded in analytics, experimentation, and data science, building deeper visibility into our performance, sharper decision-making frameworks, and data-driven products that power smarter lending and healthier portfolios.We're looking for a Head of Data Analytics to lead the entire data function - spanning Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering. You'll define our data strategy, ensure the integrity and efficiency of our data systems, and drive applied intelligence across the business.This is a hands-on leadership role — expect to spend roughly half your time writing queries, validating metrics, and solving hard problems, and the other half mentoring and scaling a small, high-impact team.Location: Bangalore l In-office l 5 days weekWhat You'll DoData Foundation & ArchitectureDefine and execute end-to-end data strategy, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and speed.Partner with Engineering and Product to design and maintain the full data architecture - data models, pipelines, warehouse, and BI layers.Stay hands-on: write SQL, validate metrics, and maintain core dashboards.Build and develop a lean, high-performing team across Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering.Analytics & Business InsightDesign and track key business metrics across growth, portfolio health, and risk.Develop automated reporting, cohort analyses, and funnel diagnostics to drive performance visibility.Build robust measurement frameworks for new products and features.Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for functional and business leaders.Applied Data ScienceDevelop and deploy models for credit scoring, fraud detection, segmentation, and pricing.Build predictive frameworks for customer behaviour, retention, and LTV.Partner with Product to integrate data-driven intelligence into customer experiences.Drive experimentation and A/B testing across products, channels, and user journeys.Cross-Functional CollaborationAlign data initiatives with business and product goals.Promote analytical clarity and evidence-based decision-making across the company.Partner closely with founders and functional heads to define hypotheses, measure outcomes, and close feedback loops.Who We're Looking For / Experience & Skills8–12 years in analytics, data science, or related domains; prior experience building & leading high-performing teams is great.Proven experience in fintech, lending, or risk/credit analytics.Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.), and BI tools (Looker, Metabase, PowerBI).Strong understanding of modern data stacks — dbt, Airflow, Snowflake/BigQuery — and experimentation frameworks.Solid statistical foundation across regression, time-series, probability, and causal inference.Demonstrated track record of building models and successfully deploying them in production or product contexts.Mindset & Traits : Hands-on builder: you love writing queries, shipping dashboards, and building models.Pragmatic operator: you know when a 70% solution today beats a perfect one next quarter.Clear translator: you simplify complex data stories into crisp, actionable narratives.Team-first leader: you invest in the growth of your team, delegate with trust, and build a culture of high ownership and rigour.Why Aspora : You'll define how Aspora measures truth — every decision, every product, every market launch will depend on your team's work.
