Backend Engineering ExcellenceJob Overview:We're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with autonomous agents. While our AI engineers focus on building the brain, you'll architect the nervous system: APIs, infrastructure, and backend intelligence that make it all production-grade.As a Staff Backend Engineer, you'll collaborate with AI engineers, product designers, and founders to ship systems that are modular, scalable, and battle-tested.Key Responsibilities:Design and Scale: Develop and optimize high-performance backend systems that power our AI orchestration engine, including API layers, state management, async job queues, task planners, and more.Integration Expertise: Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate LLM-based agents, RAG pipelines, vector stores, and multi-agent orchestration tools into a robust backend architecture.Platform Development: Build capabilities like agent identity management, secure credentials, agent task routing, lifecycle management, modular plugin execution infrastructure, and API/service architecture used by front-end apps, third-party APIs, and clients.Optimization and Quality: Ensure performance, observability, and reliability in your work, which will run thousands of real-world agent workflows daily.Engineering Leadership: Champion clean code, test automation, CI/CD, and documentation across the team and contribute to platform-level decisions.Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, raising the bar on engineering quality and speed.Requirements and Qualifications:Expertise in designing and scaling high-performance backend systems.Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and their integration with backend architectures.Proficiency in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Leadership experience and mentorship abilities.Why Join Our Team?At [Company], we believe in empowering talented individuals to push the boundaries of what's possible.
