Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Cost Analyst.The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing cost structures, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize financial performance.Key responsibilities include:Transitioning BU level costing activities to finance CoEPerforming product costing activities within the ERP system (SAP)Establishing processes for analysis of variances and providing actionable insights to reduce variances compared to established standardsProviding support and guidance on inventory valuation, including calculation of capitalized variances and stock provisionsLiaising with technology teams to resolve issues in processes or reportsPerforming ad hoc analysis as required, including deep dives to identify issuesValidating dashboards and reports relating to inventory, procurement, and factory performanceAccountabilitiesThe successful candidate will be accountable for:Serving as single point contact for SAP product costingIndependently handling entire product costing activities on SAPRegularly reviewing materials pending for cost release and liaising with markets for timely update of standard costsEnd-to-end support for the release of standard costs following established group methodology for standard cost calculationConducting reviews to ensure accuracy of standard costsReviewing and validating master data components impacting product costing, such as Bill of Materials, Routings, Costing Lot Size, and Procurement KeysOperational AnalysisThe successful candidate will analyze:Procurement transactions to identify causes of price varianceExceptions and abnormal variances, and liaise with markets to take corrective actionFactory variance analysis and consolidationDeveloping reports providing insights into price and factory variancesRequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess:Certified/Qualified Accountant: An accountant certified by a professional accounting body (Chartered accountant or Cost and Management Accountant)University DegreeA minimum of eight years of post-qualification work experience with a manufacturing organizationMinimum of six years hands-on experience with SAP product costing and end-to-end process knowledgeKnowledge of SAP MM and PP modules, and experience with how non-financial information impacts costingThorough understanding of SAP CO module and process flow for product costing and fixing errors in costing and transaction processingExperience with analysis of variancesAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders (oral and written)Ability to work independently or within a team environment and with multiple prioritiesProficiency with spreadsheet applications (Excel) and reporting and analysis tools (BW, BCS, Lumira etc.)
