Job Role: Senior Analyst

Department: Finance – Fabric

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Fabric Procurement Accounting Specialist to manage the financial aspects of our fabric procurement process through aggregators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting of all transactions related to fabric purchases, maintaining strong relationships with our aggregator partners, and contributing to the overall success of our procurement operations.

Roles and Responsibility:

·        Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to track and record fabric purchase orders, including quantity, price, and other related details.

·        Review and verify invoices received from aggregator partners, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing information.

·        Process fabric purchase invoices in a timely manner and reconcile them with purchase orders and agreements.

·        Monitor and analyze fabric purchase costs, variances, and expenses to ensure adherence to budget and forecasted targets.

·        Prepare periodic financial reports and analysis related to fabric procurement operations, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.

·        Maintain communication with aggregator partners to address any billing discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure timely payment processing.

·        Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency in fabric procurement accounting procedures.

·        Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements in all fabric procurement-related transactions.

·        Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

·        Maintenance of Fabric Invoice Tracker from the date of billing till payment and ensure timely inward of Fabric.

·        Analysis of Notional interest loss incurred due to delay in inward of Fabric.

Skills Required:

·        Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

·        Proven experience of minimum 5 working in accounting or finance, with a focus on procurement or purchasing operations, preferably in the apparel industry.

·        Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation, price analysis, and variance analysis.

·        Proficiency in using Tally accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues.

·        Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

·        Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

·        Knowledge of fabric procurement processes and supply chain operations is preferred.

·        Experience working with aggregator platforms or procurement systems is a plus.

·        Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus but not required.
