We are looking for Associate Professor -Visual Arts : Apeejay Stya University About Us The Apeejay Stya University is a seat of global learning that offers rich opportunities for innovative teaching-learning, creativity and research across disciplines. Established by the Apeejay Stya Education Foundation in the state of Haryana [under Act No. 10 of the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act 2010], the ASU provides students not only 'education for living and livelihood' but also 'education for life' and empower learners with a fundamental foundation in leadership and professional skills to face the challenges of the new liberalized global economy. Job Responsibilities : Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Applied Arts, Digital/Contemporary Art Practices, Art History, etc.). Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work. Develop curriculum and course content aligned with industry practices and emerging trends in art and design. Engage in academic research, exhibitions, publications, and creative practices in the field of Visual Arts. Mentor and guide students in their academic, creative, and professional pursuits. Participate in departmental and university-level committees, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions. Build collaborations with industry, galleries, art institutions, and cultural bodies. Contribute to the university’s vision of excellence in research, innovation, and holistic education. Job Knowledge (Prerequisites) Strong knowledge in contemporary and traditional art practices. Proficiency in integrating technology, digital tools, and interdisciplinary approaches in art education. Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills. Ability to engage in collaborative research and creative projects. Passion for experiential learning and student-centered pedagogy. Education Master’s Degree in Visual Arts/Fine Arts or equivalent with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade). Ph.D. in Visual Arts or relevant discipline is mandatory. Experience: Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience at university/college level, with evidence of published research/artistic work.
