Ensure laboratory equipment are in good working order. Under general supervision, perform skilled duties in the testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of equipment in the laboratory; maintain and perform related work as required.
Performs technical work in the maintenance, repair, calibration and installation of various electronic/analytical equipment; distributes and maintains laboratory test equipment for users; and arranges for repair and calibration of major equipment.
To resolve all queries & issues related to lab tests. To interact with all lab sections & supervise & keep track on all the tests.
Under the appropriate direction and guidance, oversees, designs, and executes all aspects of development and validation/verification of new assays or assay improvements for the technical section
Ensure the technical accuracy and quality of laboratory results and final report generation.
Performs literature reviews to access breadth of field(s) to inform new assay development and assay improvement.
Participate in laboratory personnel training, reviews, and goal setting/personal growth, in particular for Analytical Laboratory.
Provide guidance to Senior Technicians to ensure that laboratory processes are managed with the highest quality and efficiency.
Writes comprehensive analytical protocols, development plans, and validation/verification plans.
Ensures protocols are in compliance with department, company, and appropriate regulatory body’s regulations.
Critically evaluates and interprets experimental data. Compiles data and reports into Validation/Verification packets.
Works with Technical Operations management and staff to effectively troubleshoot issues with new and existing assays.
Creation and implementation of lab test methods in light of new developments.
Align with external labs and CCL R&D lab to ensure accurate internal product testing.
Analyse new raw materials to assess their use in CCL’s products.
Qualification required: Candidate must possess at least Masters Degree in Food Technology/Nutrition, Food Processing or Related streams.
Experience required: 10+Years, with experience in Pilot plant, Food Manufacturing, new food products and process development is preferred.
