Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Search Specialist to lead our search solutions using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch. This key role involves designing and implementing scalable, high-performance search platforms.As a Search Specialist, you'll create and maintain index templates, mappings, and lifecycle policies to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability. You'll also develop and optimize custom query builders and search pipelines tailored to complex business requirements.leveraging LLMs and AI for data enrichment and improved search relevance is a critical aspect of this role. You'll work closely with data engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality search experiences.Requirements5+ years experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in production environmentsexperience with AI/LLM-based search experiences such as RAG, learning to rank and query understandingexpert level expertise in Python, with experience building APIs (preferably FastAPI)deep understanding of search concepts: analysers, tokenisers, relevance tuning, custom scoring, and query DSLexperience with index template management, lifecycle policies, and large-scale data modellingproficiency in designing and optimising search pipelines and custom query builderspractical hands-on experience developing software using AI-assisted tools and workflowsstrong testing background: integration, regression, and performance testingdevOps skills: automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructureexcellent communication and collaboration skillsexperience with S3, AWS Lambda, and cloud-native architectures
