Job Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced senior data architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures that support our enterprise data initiatives.The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, medallion architecture, and data pipeline engineering.Key Responsibilities include:Architecting end-to-end data solutions using modern cloud data platforms, especially Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics.Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards.Designing and developing Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses following Medallion architecture principles (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).Defining and implementing data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured).Overseeing the development of ETL/ELT processes, ensuring scalability, performance, and reusability.Collaborating with business analysts, data engineers, and BI developers to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.Driving data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance best practices.Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps.Providing guidance and mentorship to junior architects and data engineers.Evaluating & recommending tools, technologies, and frameworks to support data strategies. Supporting pre-sales activities by preparing technical proposals, effort estimations, and SOW documents.Required Skills & Experience:12–18 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.Strong hands-on experience in SQL, performance tuning, and optimization.Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and transformation logic.Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, etc.).Deep knowledge of Data Warehousing principles, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.Strong understanding of data pipelines, data integration from various source systems (ERP, APIs, Files, Streams, etc.).Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL DB, Blob Storage).Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (preferably Azure DevOps).Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau/Qlikview.Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, & metadata management.Demonstrated experience in pre-sales engagements including proposals, RFP responses, SOW creation, and solution presentations.
