Job Description:As a seasoned monitoring and tools architect, you will lead the strategic planning, migration, and optimization of enterprise-grade monitoring, observability, and automation platforms. This critical role is pivotal in our major business separation initiative, requiring a comprehensive evaluation of our current monitoring ecosystem.We employ various tools including ThousandEyes, LiveActionNX, SolarWinds, CMDB/Inventory platforms, automation frameworks such as Ansible, and integrations with network management platforms (e.g., Cisco ACI). You will provide expert guidance, define the future-state tooling architecture, and ensure operational readiness during the separation.Key responsibilities include:Assessing our current monitoring, observability, and automation toolset to determine the optimal strategy for migration or replacement.Defining future-state monitoring and operations architecture aligned with scalability, reliability, and business separation requirements.Conducting gap analysis and providing modernization recommendations.Opportunities abound to work on various platforms including:ThousandEyesLiveActionNX / LiveNXSolarWinds (NPM, NCM, SAM, etc.)CMDB / Inventory systems (ServiceNow or equivalent)Establishing dashboards, alerting standards, performance baselines, and unified monitoring integrations.Responsibilities also include:Architecting automation workflows using Ansible, Python, or similar tools.Integrating monitoring and telemetry platforms with network management solutions such as Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, firewalls, and cloud networking.Developing and maintaining automated workflows for configuration management and incident response.Required Skills and Qualifications:You must possess a deep understanding of monitoring, observability, and automation platforms. Proficiency in tools like ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, and Ansible is essential.
