Senior Livestock Specialist

About the Role:This is a contractual engagement initially till March 2026 with an extendable term based on performance and program requirements.The Veterinary Doctor will support research-driven and field-based initiatives aimed at improving livestock productivity, animal health, and farm-level sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Undertake field-based studies and trials on breeding, nutrition, disease management, and husbandry practices tailored to local livestock systems.Support activities related to artificial insemination, semen processing, and genetic improvement programs for swine and small livestock.Assist in the development of feed formulations using locally available resources and contribute to improving feed efficiency and farm profitability.Requirements:Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from a recognized institution.Registration with the State Veterinary Council / Veterinary Council of India (mandatory).Precference for candidates with experience or exposure to livestock research, animal breeding, or rural development programs.
