The role of the Solar Engineer is to provide innovative and comprehensive solutions in design engineering for commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects. The incumbent will work in a collaborative, team-based environment with a focus on electrical design and grid integration.Responsibilities include working closely with Sales or Business Development Teams to offer the best solution for each project. This involves modeling and simulating in software such as PVSyst or Helioscope, designing and engineering PV plants, creating single line diagrams, interconnection drawings, and solar field optimized layouts, and preparing technical specifications. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for evaluating technical bids for Grid connected Solar plant, leading internal Operations teams throughout project development and implementation, communicating with vendors and subcontractors to collect developments and improvements in Solar PV space, and assisting Performance Assurance groups with system performance monitoring.The preferred candidate profile includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in design engineering for commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects, proficiency in design and simulation software, and an understanding of Project Management functions.The successful candidate will have expertise in power evacuation, experience in Single line diagrams, Interconnection drawings, Solar field optimized layouts, Technical Specification preparation, and a strong understanding of project management principles. In addition, the candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
