Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Professor to join our BCA and MCA departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in computer applications or related fields. A Ph.D. or a Postgraduate degree with NET/SLET qualification is required. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate engaging learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students in BCA and MCA programs.
Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to align with industry standards and academic best practices.
Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.
Research and Publication: Engage in scholarly research activities in the field of computer applications and related disciplines.
Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at academic conferences.
Collaborate with faculty and industry partners on research projects and initiatives.
Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and activities to contribute to the overall functioning and strategic planning of the department.
Assist in the accreditation process and ensure compliance with academic standards and regulations.
Support student recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives.
Community Engagement Foster relationships with industry professionals and organizations to enhance student opportunities for internships and placements.
Participate in outreach programs and community service activities to promote the department and the institution.
Qualifications
Education: A Ph.D. in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred.
Alternatively, a Postgraduate degree (MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science) with NET/SLET qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in BCA/MCA programs or related fields at a recognized institution.
Proven track record of research and publication in relevant areas.
Skills Strong knowledge of current trends and technologies in computer applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
Proficiency in using modern teaching tools and technologies.
