We're seeking an expert Cloud FinOps AI Developer to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI-powered systems that optimize cloud spend across multiple platforms.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement AI/ML-driven agents and automation workflows that continuously ingest cloud billing and usage data from APIs like AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management + Billing.Become a cost forecasting specialist using predictive models to identify upcoming savings opportunities with Savings Plans/Reservations and recommend optimal purchase strategies.Develop real-time anomaly detection and intelligent alerting systems that include root-cause analysis and suggested corrective actions.Create automated tagging governance engines that detect missing or incorrect tags and enforce research grant and department chargeback policies.Build recommendation-as-code pipelines generating executable Infrastructure-as-Code or direct API calls to purchase the best savings instruments.Design a centralized FinOps AI dashboard that surfaces agent-generated insights and one-click approval workflows.Integrate the AI platform with existing tooling and extend them where native capabilities fall short.Collaborate on containerized architecture for the agent platform ensuring all components meet healthcare security and compliance standards.Continuously measure savings attribution, model accuracy, and automation adoption; iterate on models using retraining pipelines and feedback loops.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree in healthcare or research is a plus.5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with at least two major providers (AWS and Azure required).3+ years building production-grade data pipelines, ML models, or intelligent automation in a cloud cost-management context.Strong software development skills in Python and at least one additional language.Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and MLOps tools.Expertise in cloud billing APIs, Cost and Usage Reports, and building enriched data lakes.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with event-driven architectures and serverless compute.Bonus Points:Previous work in healthcare or academic medical centers.FinOps Certified Practitioner certification.Contributions to open-source FinOps or cloud-cost tools.Experience with generative AI for explaining recommendations.
