Job Title: Cyber Security SpecialistA Cyber Security Specialist plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security systems.Key Responsibilities:Security Architecture & ImplementationCreate and manage cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint protection solutions, and SIEM tools to ensure seamless data flow.Implement security controls for cloud, network, application, and endpoint environments to prevent potential breaches.Develop and maintain secure system configurations and hardening guidelines to mitigate risks.Threat Detection & Incident ResponseMaintain vigilant monitoring of security alerts and logs to detect suspicious activities and prevent data compromise.Lead incident response efforts, investigating security incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.Perform thorough root cause analysis and develop preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.Vulnerability ManagementConduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses in the organization's defenses.Analyze risks and collaborate with IT/engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen overall security posture.Maintain and update the organization's risk register to ensure ongoing awareness of potential threats.Policy, Compliance & GovernanceDevelop and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry best practices.Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) to guarantee the highest level of security and integrity.Deliver security awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security and responsibility within the organization.Identity & Access ManagementOversee Identity and Access Management tools to enforce least-privilege access controls and maintain the security and integrity of sensitive data.Manage multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and privileged access management solutions to enhance overall security and reduce risk.Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures and maintain secure environments.Prepare detailed security reports, incident summaries, and audit documentation to facilitate informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement.Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives to ensure minimal disruption in case of an emergency.
