Job DescriptionAs a seasoned Senior Data Architect, you will be instrumental in crafting and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures that propel our enterprise data initiatives forward. Your expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, medallion architecture, and data pipeline engineering will be crucial in driving business success.This senior-level role requires strong leadership skills to manage the successful delivery of multiple data projects and provide technical guidance to data engineering teams. Active participation in pre-sales activities such as developing technical proposals, responding to RFPs, creating SOWs and estimations, and presenting solutions to senior leadership and customer stakeholders is also essential.Key Responsibilities:Design End-to-End Data SolutionsLead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple data projects ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards.Develop Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses following Medallion architecture principles (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).Define and implement data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured).Oversee ETL/ELT process development ensuring scalability, performance, and reusability.Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and BI developers to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.Drive data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance best practices.Integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and data engineers.Evaluate & recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to support data strategies.Support pre-sales activities by preparing technical proposals, effort estimations, and SOW documents.Present technical solutions and value propositions to senior leadership and client stakeholders.Required Skills and Qualifications:We are looking for an exceptional candidate with the following qualifications:12–18 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.Strong hands-on experience in SQL, performance tuning, and optimization.Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and transformation logic.Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, etc.).Deep knowledge of Data Warehousing principles, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL DB, Blob Storage).Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (preferably Azure DevOps).Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau/Qlikview.Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, & metadata management.Demonstrated experience in pre-sales engagements including proposals, RFP responses, SOW creation, and solution presentations.
