Job Title: Financial Planning AnalystSenior Financial Analyst – Analytics is a critical role in the Analytics Center of Excellence.The responsibilities encompass activities associated with the Strategic / Operational Plan, Budgeting, Forecasting & Month-End Close activities.Role DescriptionBuilt working and collaborative relationships with various teams to support business priorities and objectives through complex financial modeling and ad-hoc reportingBenchmarked company performance using product and market related analyticsAnalyzed consolidated results and partnered closely with Business Operations and Business Finance to understand material variances to budget and historical trendsProactively identified and communicated areas of risk and opportunityProvided insights to enable executives to do contingency planning, to consider alternatives and anticipate the impact of specific positive and negative eventsTaken the lead in building forecast models using key drivers, trend analysis, economic and external factorsMonitored accuracy and predictive validity of existing modelsRun operating plan models and incorporated guidance received on validated assumptionsProvided analytical support and conducted research as requiredCreated analytical tools and models for driving process efficienciesRun recurring reports for all aspects of management reporting activities leveraging technology and automationDriven KPIs related to financial models and client satisfactionEnsured data governance processes surrounding the data to ensure accuracy at the source systemRequired Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills:Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel (formulas and advanced functions)Used financial systems such as Oracle GL, Hyperion, Essbase, SmartView etc.Generated dashboards with customized data parameters to aid decision makingIntermediate experience with Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft AccessUpdated with dynamic analytics processes and techniquesGeneral SkillsExcellent Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Focus on Innovation and Creativity, Flexible and adaptable to Business needs and contingencies, Good Team Player, Shares skills and knowledge with colleaguesPrior Experience2 – 7 years or CA Freshers, Master's Degree (M.B.A.), CA, CPA, CFA requiredImportant InformationExperience in an operational/analytical role mandatory
